Ballot papers should be received by eligible members not later than 26th January 2023 and voting in the Nautilus International Elections to the Council 2023 closes on WEDNESDAY 26th April 2023. Completed ballot papers must be received by the scrutineer (Civica Election Services) by 1700 UK Time on that date in order to be counted.
Under the Rules (and Regulations made under the Rules) Full Members (as defined in the Rules) from the UK, NL and CH are entitled to vote in this ballot and are strongly urged to do so.
The only contested Category is for UK Branch –
“Other particular categories, including hotel services and shore-based members”.
Seven Nominations were received for four Council vacancies and therefore a ballot is required.
ALL FULL MEMBERS FROM ALL BRANCHES ARE ENTITLED TO VOTE IN THIS BALLOT AND SHOULD SELECT UP TO FOUR CANDIDATES ON THEIR BALLOT PAPER BEFORE RETURNING THE PAPER BY POST TO THE SCRUTINEER.
All other Categories received equal or fewer nominations than the number of vacancies available. Nominees in these categories are therefore elected unopposed.
For the benefit of voters, all candidates were asked to provide information about themselves for inclusion with the ballot paper. The requested information was name, photograph, rank, company, and a candidate statement not exceeding 120 words, setting out what the candidate believes to be the priorities and major issues, recognising that policy is subject to any direction given by full members at General Meetings.
The personal information and candidate statements were supplied by each individual candidate and Nautilus International is not permitted under UK legislation, (section 48 Trade Union and labour (Relations) Act 1992 as amended) to make any changes to those personal statements prior to being published as their election address. Accordingly, the Union is not responsible for the accuracy of any candidate’s statement.
Each candidate is wholly responsible for their personal information and their statement reproduced here. The Union or its contractors and agents; as publisher, printer and/or distributor cannot, under the 1992 Act have any action taken against them in respect of any of the contents of each statement.
