This year there were twelve (12) valid nominations for the five (5) vacancies to the English Pharmacy Board. It is, therefore, necessary to hold an election. Of the five (5) vacancies, only three (3) will be part of the election. This is because:
• No nominations were received for the Industrial pharmacists sectoral place, so this casual vacancy will be subject to co-option this year and election in 2016.
• Only one candidate was received for the Hospital sectoral place, Aamer Safdar, who is elected unopposed.
