In the February issue of British Horse we called for nominations for the British Horse Society Board of Trustees. We are delighted to have received nominations from eight individuals who believe they can make a positive difference to the Society and you our members.
As you will remember the current Board of Trustees identified the following four priority specialisms:
- Access
- Education
- Safety
- Strategic Commercial and Business Development
Now is the time for you to support the Society’s future growth and development by using your votes to choose candidates with the correct balance of skills, knowledge and experience.
All BHS Members aged 18 years or older on 19 July 2017 are eligible to vote. You may only vote for one candidate per specialism.
The candidates’ profiles and what they can offer the Board to help your Society achieve are listed below. Please take the time to read their manifestos before voting opens on the 21 June at 9am.
Results will be publicised at the Election Board Meeting (EBM) on Wednesday 19 July 2017.
The EBM will be held as part of our Annual Members Meeting, at The British Horse Society, Abbey Park, Stareton, Kenilworth, CV8 2XZ. The meeting will start at 10.30am and will include a light lunch. BHS Specialist Trustee - Education
While two candidates were nominated and qualified for the position of BHS Specialist Trustee Education, one candidate has subsequently withdrawn. Therefore, in accordance with The British Horse Society Constitution, Sam York has been elected as BHS Specialist Trustee Education. Please click here to view Sam's statement.
